In the “numbers” section, there are three books, “1, 2, 3, 4,” “5, 6, 7, 8,” and “9, 10, 11, 12,” and children learn numbers and digits from 1 to 12, which are also used for time and months, while counting Pokemon. In the “shapes” section, there are three books, “shapes,” which deal with basic circles, triangles, and squares; “various shapes,” which deal with rhombuses, oblongs, and sectors; and “common shapes,” which deal with stars, hearts, and ellipses. Children learn these shapes in a quiz format, where they must guess the “shapes” hidden behind Pokemon.
The back cover is a maze puzzle featuring Eevee and its nine evolved forms, “Eevee,” and the six books can also be enjoyed as a picture matching puzzle. The Pokemon that appear are many familiar Pokemon, including Pikachu and Eevee, which are the first Pokemon that players choose as partners in the game! This picture book is useful for parent-child communication, as it not only familiarizes children with numbers, shapes, and Pokemon, but also allows them to read aloud with a question-and-answer style text.
