Description
The Civil War has just ended in the United States. The former artillery men, members of the “Gun Club,” have nothing to do and are bored. The club president, Impey Barbicane, decides to breathe new life into his club by engaging them in a revolutionary project to send a projectile to the moon. The idea takes shape little by little but exterior forces upset their plans. Between technical and financial problems and the rivalry among the scientists, will the projectile succeed in reaching the moon?
